Isla Mujeres is 8 km long and its widest point is 800 m. It is said that its name was given in 1517 by Francisco Hernández de Córdoba, who led a Spanish expedition in search of labor to exploit the gold mines in Cuba.
PROGRAM OF THE DAY: Departure to the city of Cancún to discover the secrets of the turquoise waters and the “Isla de las Mujeres”. On board a catamaran, you will walk through the Caribbean Sea with drinks at will (national alcohol). You will make a first stop, where you will dive with a mask and tuba to discover the coral reef and its magnificent fauna (depending on weather conditions).
When you arrive on the island, you will have free time to stroll through the center and enjoy the colorful shops. Or rent a small golf cart and tour the island. The city of Isla Mujeres, with its 10,000 inhabitants, stretches across the northern part of the island and has some 15 intersecting streets with wrought-iron balconies and whitewashed walls giving it a distinctly Mexican feel. Buffet lunch with drinks to taste. (Swim with dolphins available for an additional charge).
